Young Linfield player on road to recovery

2 weeks ago a very brave young man from our 2012 academy had to make the journey to Dublin for a serious operation. Corey Armstrong at only 8 years of age, had to go through major surgery.
Thankfully, after spending 5 days in a Dublin hospital, 2 of which were in the ICU ward and a further 3 in the Royal Victoria Hospital, we are glad to say that Corey is back home in the comfort of his own house and recovering very well.
Corey is a determined young lad and knows he has further recovery ahead of him but everyone at the Linfield Academy, the coaches, parents and team mates will look forward to seeing Corey back out on the pitch soon and showing off his talent once again.
I’m sure all Linfield supporters and everyone connected with the club will join me in wishing Corey a speedy recovery to full health.
