Annual awards evening at the Crowne Plaza Hotel

The following awards will be presented at the club's annual awards evening at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Shaws Bridge on Saturday evening.

Goal of the season award

This award is sponsored by Brian Close Transport and the winner will receive and keep one of four engraved crystal trophies that have been kindly provided by Linfield director Ronnie Morrison.

Billy Meikle memorial award

The late Linfield director Billy Meikle passed away in Spain on January 13 four years ago and his son and Linfield Vice President Glenn Meikle presented this award to the club in honour of his father. It's nominated for by a panel of local supporters clubs and is awarded each year to a Linfield player who displayed the traditional never say die, fight for the shirt qualities that the late Billy Meikle so greatly admired.

The award winner will receive the Billy Meikle trophy plus an award provided by Glenn for the player to keep.

Bobby Braithwaite memorial young player of the year award

The Seven Trophy legend Bobby Braithwaite passed away in South Africa on October 14 three years ago and his son Paul has donated a beautiful trophy in the shape of the map of Africa to be presented to the winner of this award.

The winner will also receive and keep one of four engraved crystal trophies that have been kindly provided by Linfield director Ronnie Morrison.

The nominees are Ryan Strain, Alex Moore and Stephen Fallon

Malcolm Brodie memorial Players Player of the year award

This award is named in honour of the legendary former sports editor of the Belfast Telegraph, Dr Malcolm Brodie MBE who passed away on January 27, four years ago.

The trophy was presented to the club by Malcolm's family and will be presented to the player who the players have voted for as their Player of the year.

This award is kindly sponsored by the Crowne Plaza Hotel.

Torrans Trophy

This is the 11th time this award will be presented and the first time at this awards event. Which Linfield player will follow in the famous footsteps of the all time legends of the club - Bailie, McGaughey, Dickson, Andrews, Rafferty, Ferguson, Dunlop, Braithwaite, Russell and Murray.

The trophy is named after John Torrans, one of the founders of the club and is recognised as being the club's equivalent of induction of a legend into the club's Hall of Fame.

Linfield merit award

This award was introduced last year and presented in recognition of outstanding service over a long period of time. The first winner was Andy Kerr MBE.

This year's winner will receive and keep one of four beautifully engraved crystal trophies that have been kindly provided by Linfield director Ronnie Morrison.

Linfield fc.com Player of the year award

The main Player of the Year award is voted for by supporters via the official Linfield website and literally hundreds of supporters vote each year.

Who will follow in the footsteps of Munster, BJ Burns, Gault, Watson, Mulgrew, Waterworth, Aaron Burns, Callacher and last year's winner Roy Carroll.

The winning player will receive the hugely prestigious cup. He will also receive and keep one of four engraved crystal trophies that have been kindly provided by Linfield director Ronnie Morrison.

This award is also sponsored by Ronnie Morrison who also sponsors the Linfield Man and Woman of the Match awards at every home league game of Linfield FC and Linfield Ladies FC,

The nominees are Mark Haughey, Kirk Millar and Mark Stafford.

1 - The Danske Bank / NIFL Women's Player of the Year award winner

2 - The Ulster Women's Player of the Year award winner

3 - The NIFWA Women's Player of the Year award winner

The special guest is of course Linfield season ticket holder, Linfield goal keeper, league and League cup winner and senior international goal keeper, 17 year old Lauren Perry from Ballynahinch.
