Niall Quinn Testimonial event at Crowne Plaza hotel
Posted : 16th October 2022 at 17:24:29
The first main event of Niall Quinn’s Testimonial season took place at the Crowne plaza hotel on Saturday night when Niall’s testimonial dinner took place.
The large crowd of supporters, directors and many players (current and past) along with backroom staff, gathered to pay tribute to Niall’s loyal service and career.
Committee Chairman and Linfield trustee Paul Weir opened with a word of thanks and tribute and there were further tributes paid on the night, including from team manager David Healy who praised Niall’s professionalism and dedication to the club.
After Dinner, a question and answer session with Niall was hosted by compere Michael Clarke and Niall looked back on the many highlights of his illustrious Linfield career.
A compilation of highlights was put on the big screen for all to see.
The head and tails game brought much fun and light relief to the proceedings and Philip Hamilton was delighted to walk away with the first prize of a Tag Huer watch provided by club president Peter Lunn.
Following the auction Footballing legend and chief guest Jimmy Nicholl sat with Michael Clarke for a Q and A session which went down well with the audience.
The night closed with Chairman Roy McGivern paying tribute to Niall and committee secretary Ivan Ogborn thanked everyone for coming and those who made contributions on the night.
