David Healy announces some positive contract news.
“I hope our supporters are all keeping as well as possible in these extremely difficult and challenging times.
I want to announce some contract news that was concluded several weeks ago and we feel appropriate to announce now.
Firstly, Mark Haughey has agreed and signed a one year contract extension to take effect upon the expiry of his existing contract.
Mark is a hugely important and experienced player who made a major impact and contribution when he returned to the squad after long term injury earlier this season and I’m delighted that we’ve agreed a contract, extending his stay at the club by another season.
Secondly, we’ve agreed a first professional contract for young Swifts player Jake Corbett. Jake has made a huge impression coming through the underage amateur ranks at the club and he fully deserves the reward of this professional contract.
He made a huge contribution to the success of the Swifts in winning the Steel and Sons cup at Christmas and I believe he has a bright and promising future ahead in the game.”
