David Healy provides a contract update with regard to Matthew Clarke
“I’m delighted to be able to advise our supporters that Matthew Clarke has agreed and signed a contract extension.
At present, his contract was due for review at the end of the 2021/22 season but this one year extension means that he’s now contracted with the club until the end of the 2022/23 season.
Matthew is a 27 year old experienced player with over 250 appearances for this club and this is good news for the club that he’s become the latest important player to extend their stay at the club.
Matthew is an underrated and dependable player and I know he will continue to make a significant contribution to the club he has served so well for several years.
He’s a hugely popular player in the dressing room and with our supporters and he’s richly deserving of this contract extension.”
