David Healy - injury update on Jordan Stewart

Posted : 13th January 2022

David Healy provides an update following the recent injury sustained by Jordan Stewart.

“I want to thank the many supporters and people involved in the game who’ve contacted the club, myself or Jordan Stewart with messages of goodwill and concern, following the injury suffered by Jordan in the closing stages of Tuesday’s Seaview County Antrim Shield final.

At the time, it looked like a bad injury and it’s never nice to see a player being stretchered off in any game.

Jordan went for an X ray on his leg after the game and at this early stage in his recovery, it’s beginning to appear that the injury may not be as serious, as initially feared.

Certainly, Jordan will be out of action for several weeks and his leg will be given strength and support by him wearing a medical boot for a period.

We will continue to assess his injury and recovery on a regular basis and he will be given all the support and assistance that he needs to help get him back to fitness and action as soon as possible.

I know everyone will join with me in wishing him a full and speedy recovery and we look forward to seeing him back on the pitch again.”
