David Healy announces news of a contract extension for Matthew Clarke.
“I’m delighted to advise our supporters that Matthew Clarke has today agreed a new contract extension with the club.
At present, Matthew is contracted until the end of the upcoming 2022-23 season but this new extension sees him commit his future at the club until the end of the 2023-24 season.
Matthew joined the club in 2013 and in the season just ended he made his 300th appearance in an away game at Coleraine.
He’s highly experienced and a very consistent and popular player at the club. He’s a very positive influence around the club and he knows what it means to play for the club. He fully understands the pressures, demands and expectations at the club but he’s fully committed to playing his part in delivering further success to the club.
He’s fully deserved the award of this extended contract and I know the news will be well received by our supporters.”
