David Healy announces news of a contract extension for Michael Newberry.
“I’m delighted to advise our supporters that Michael Newberry has agreed to extend his contract with us for a further 2 years.
Michael is a versatile and talented player who can provide options in a variety of defensive positions and he made a significant contribution to last year’s title success, playing in 18 of our league games and 27 competitive games overall.
He’s aged 24 and having been with us for a year and a half, he knows all about the constant demands and hunger for success at this club.
I’m looking forward to Michael and the rest of the players returning to pre season training in the coming days, as we begin to prepare for an eagerly anticipated UEFA Champions League campaign in early July.”
