A dramatic and exciting 94th minute winner from Ethan Devine in last week's televised Premiership game against Crusaders at Windsor Park earned a vitally important three points, to send the majority of the 2230 crowd home in a happy and relieved frame of mind. The 3-2 win keeps Linfield three points ahead of second placed Glentoran, with Cliftonville a further point behind, although with a game in hand away to our opponents today, Dungannon Swifts.

With seven league games still to play, it's shaping up to be an exciting and fiercely contested battle for the title and vital European placings and supporters can play their part by getting fully behind the team, as the players go in search of as many wins as possible in what has been a demanding and challenging season that will no doubt have further twists and turns in the weeks ahead.

A warm welcome to Windsor Park to the players, officials, coaches, staff and supporters of Dungannon Swifts FC for today's vitally important Danske Bank Premiership game. In the two previous league games between the clubs this season, Linfield recorded a 3-0 home win in October and this was followed by a 6-1 win at Stangmore Park in January. Dungannon are presently in ninth place in the league table, having won nine drawn one and lost 20 of their 30 league games to date.

Today's Premiership game will be streamed live by Linfield tv. Commentary will be by Jonny Martin and Michael Gault. The league game away to Warrenpoint on March 26 was initially selected for broadcast by BBC but has recently been switched to Sky and the kick-off time has been brought forward to 12-30pm.

Josh Archer signed his first professional contract recently. Midfielder Josh was one of the first inductees into the club's innovative scholarship scheme and he has agreed a contract until the end of next season.

The current 2021-22 season marks the centenary of the Seven Trophy winning success in 1921-22 and the 60th anniversary of the Seven Trophy winning success in 1961-62.

Last weekend marked the 136th anniversary of the formation of Linfield FC in a mill in the Linfield Road area of Sandy Row.

A date has still to be confirmed for the semi-final tie at home to Coleraine in the Unite the Union Champions Cup. The winner will travel to play the winner of the southern semi-final (Shamrock Rovers v St. Pats) at the Aviva Stadium final in Dublin.

A pre-match collection will be held before today's game in support of the Academy squads which will be participating in upcoming prestigious tournaments.

Linfield Ladies will commence their 2022 Premiership season with a game against newly promoted Mid Ulster at New Midgley Park on Wednesday April 20.

If there is no change in the league table after the March 26 games, Linfield’s post-split final five league games will be home to Glentoran, Larne and Coleraine, with away trips to Cliftonville and Crusaders. Ballymena or Glenavon can still pip Coleraine to a place in the top six when the league splits at the month end.

Appreciation is extended to today’s match sponsor - Linfield Supporters' Trust and the match ball sponsor - Ernie Rodgers.

In accordance with the club rules, nominations from members for positions on the club’s board of directors, or business motions must be submitted by the end of this month.

Cavehill LSC will tonight celebrate their 30th anniversary with a special function in the Corrs Corner hotel in Glengormley. Several Linfield players and officials are due to represent the club at the event.

In the interests of the safety and well-being of our supporters and club personnel, Linfield FC would appeal to a tiny number of spectators NOT to bring flares or any other form of pyrotechnics to today's or any other game.
