Linfield FC extends congratulations to senior member Alfie Hennessy from Helens Bay who recently celebrated his 60th wedding anniversary with his wife Noreen.
Alfie has been a lifelong dedicated Linfield supporter (and senior member and premier seat holder).
Alfie and Noreen were married in St Mary’s Church of Ireland, on Belfast’s Crumlin Road on March 7, 1962 (three days before Linfield won a second round Irish Cup tie 4-2 at Solitude en route to Seven Trophy success a couple of months later).
They have three children Lynne, Valerie and Billy, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
They received a Diamond wedding anniversary congratulations Telegram from HM The Queen and celebrated the anniversary event at the Old Inn, Crawfordsburn.
And the sixth generation of the family to maintain the proud family tradition of following the Blues - Brodie Cunningham, Alfie and Noreen’s great grandson, who is now one year old.
