Linfield FC women return to Sports Direct NIFL Premiership action with a trip to the Melvin Sports complex in Strabane on Friday evening to play Sion Swifts in a 7-45pm kick off.
Both sides have an identical league record having won nine, drawn one and lost four games to date, with Linfield slightly ahead in the league table on goal difference.
The league game between the two sides at New Midgley Park in June was a hard fought 1-1 draw.
Linfield will have boosted by the midweek league title success of the under 19s in the Electric Ireland Academy league and also by Keri Halliday’s winning goal for Northern Ireland under 19s against their Republic of Ireland counterparts last weekend. Five other Linfield players were involved in the game - Abi Sweetlove, Sofie Keenan, Sophie Gargan, Erin McAllister and Rhyleigh Marks.
Linfield have 3 games remaining after Friday’s long drive to Strabane - home to Lisburn on October 4, away to Mid Ulster on October 9 and away to Glentoran on October 13.
There is an opportunity for Supporters, supporters clubs or businesses to sponsor the New Midgley Park game against Lisburn on October 4 - at half time the young Swifts will be presented with the Electric Ireland Academy league trophy.
