Linfield make sizeable donation to Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice

Several weeks ago Linfieldfc.com announced that the club would be making a donation of £7864 to the Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice.

This terrific sum represents the amount of unclaimed ticket refunds from the postponed away league game on March 20.

On Thursday Linfield vice-chairman Stephen Dickson called at the Northern Ireland’s Children’s Hospice base in Glengormley, to make the presentation on behalf of the many Linfield supporters who asked that their ticket money be presented to the club’s very deserving official partner charity.

As can be seen from the photos below, the Linfield vice-chairman made an additional personal donation to round off the amount being presented to a very sizeable £8000.

This significant donation was made possible thanks to the kindness and generosity of many of our supporters and the huge gesture has been greatly appreciated by the Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice who do such wonderful work in caring for children across our country.

A few weeks ago Linfield FC was able to transfer a further £2000 plus to the Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice, courtesy of a Justgiving fundraising effort on this website.

This total £10 000 plus donation to the Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice in recent times comes at a time when all charities have been hard hit in their fundraising activities, due to restrictions arising from the corona virus pandemic, so it has been particularly appreciated at this time.

Once again, a huge thank you to all our kindhearted supporters who made this wonderful donation possible.

In the photos below are Linfield vice chairman Stephen Dickson and Catherine O’Hara (Partnership programme manager) representing our official partner charity at the Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice.
