Cheque presentation to RBL from profits from last year’s sponsored poppy shirts

On Friday night Linfield director Ronnie Morrison presented Ronnie McGaughey from the Cregagh Wandsworth & Ormeau branch of the Royal British Legion with a £1250 cheque from the profits from the sponsored Poppy shirts from last season.

Once again this year the Royal British Legion extend their grateful thanks to Linfield Football club, for their kind donation towards the poppy appeal.

And in particular to club kit manager Gary Ecles who does an immense job behind the scenes ensuring each shirt has the poppy embroidered on it, in memory of the former Linfield players who served in the World Wars and other conflicts.
