Vice-presidents donate £1000 to Children’s Hospice from recent Golf Day Event

Several weeks ago a hugely enjoyable and successful Golf day was hosted by the Linfield vice-presidents.

The event was well supported by participants and sponsors and appreciation is extended to all of them and in particular, generous sponsors in Neill Wines and Druids Golf.

From the proceeds of the event and associated ballot, the vice-presidents wanted to make a significant donation to the club’s official partner charity, the Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice.

Unfortunately, but understandably, due to restrictions arising from the corona virus pandemic, the Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice representatives are no longer able to participate in cheque photograph presentations.

The Linfield vice-presidents have therefore arranged for the very generous donation of £1000 to be transferred to the bank account of the Children's Hospice.

Three of the vice-presidents (Norman Morrow, Robert Neill and Gary Dickson) are pictured below with the presentation cheque, prior to last night’s Windsor Park game against Crusaders.

In due course, the certificate of appreciation from the Children’s Hospice, upon receipt of these funds, will be featured on this website.

This £1000 donation increases the total presented to our official partner charity to a figure in excess of £11 200 in recent months.

£8000 was donated from the unclaimed ticket refunds from a postponed league game in March and the other £2200 derived from a just giving fundraising appeal on this website.
