Linfield continued preparations for Tuesday’s Champions League tie in Lithuania with a behind closed doors training game against St. Mirren at the QUB, Dub complex.

The visitors took a 5th minute lead through Eamon Brophy, heading in a left wing cross.

Following a handball in the box, the referee awarded a spot kick but Christy Manzinga’s penalty was pushed onto the post by the St. Mirren keeper Jak Alnwick in the 24th minute.

The visitors doubled their lead after 27 minutes - Eamon Brophy scoring his second at the near post following a right wing corner.

St Mirren changed their entire line up at half time with Linfield making seven subs by the middle of the second half.

The visitors added a third after 65 minutes when Erwin converted from close range.

For Linfield attention now shifts to a UEFA Champions league first qualifying round first leg tie in Lithuania on Tuesday.
