Newtownabbey man Phil is a member of the committee who along with Roy McGivern, Ronnie Morrison and Johnny Jamison has overseen the construction of a monument in the Somme village of Bertrancourt in Northern France to pay respects to the club's former players who sadly lost their lives during the World Wars.
