The South Stand has been 'home from home' for so many Linfield supporters down through the years.
It has been a place where we have met friends, watched great players and great games and of course, experienced all the emotional highs and lows that go hand in hand with supporting your favourite team.
The memories of all the successes enjoyed by our team and of course the subsequent celebrations, will of course live with us in our hearts for ever more.
However, all good things must eventually come to an end and the demolition of the South Stand is drawing nigh.
Of course, it will be sad to see the end of what has been the vantage point of so much drama and history and there will be many grown men shedding tears when the familiar South Stand is removed from the South Belfast skyline it has occupied for decades.
However, as Linfield FC bids a fond farewell to a dear friend that had served this club and it's supporters well, we are all looking forward with eager anticipation and excitement to the dawning of a new era, with the emergence of a magnificent new stadium fit for the requirements of football in the modern era.
This new stadium will be the arena where a new generation of friendships, memories, dreams and hopefully many successes will be created, enjoyed and celebrated.
