Date of Birth : 16th October 1961
Supporters Club : None
Where do you sit in Windsor Park : Normally would have been the Kop and South Stands
How long have you supported the Blues : All my life
Can you recall your first match : I was too young to remember but it was in the early 60s when the terraces had large crowds for most matches and I ran about the Spion Kop as a kid !
Who influenced you the most : Definitely my father (who still attends matches with me) and my late grandfather, both born and bred Shankill Road Bluemen and their stories of Jackie Milburn, Tommy Dickson and Bobby Braithwaite are legendary.
Did you idolise any particular player ( and why ) : my favourite player was Davy Nixon, for a player of small stature, he gave his all for the Blues and would cover every blade of grass for the jersey. He was a tremendous player. There have been so many: Martin McGaughey, George Dunlop, Peter Rafferty, Sammy Pavis, Isaac Andrews, Noel Bailie, Glen Ferguson, Peter Dornan, all fantastic footballers.
Who is your favourite current player ( and why ) : Peter Thompson who is a great player and has scored many vital goals.
Who is your all time great ( and why ) Billy Murray, he was so skilful and could beat opponents with ease and cross a ball with total accuracy. He was brilliant, particularly in big games and wore the famous Blue jersey with pride.
What other Irish League player from the past do you most admire ( and why ) John Sloan of Ballymena. A classy player and sportsman
And the present : Winky Murphy a legend at Linfield and Colin Coates of Crusaders, he has his faults but is a strong defender.
What is your favourite away ground. Mourneview Park - you have a great view of the match and are close to the pitch.
Most memorable occasion following Linfield: Beating Glentoran in the Irish Cup final in 2006 to win the clean sweep. In footballing terms it does not get any better than that.
If you had unlimited funds who would buy : In his heyday the late George Best. In my view he was the greatest footballer ever.
Do you support any other team in England or Scotland : Lifelong Manchester United and Glasgow Rangers supporter.
What was the best Linfield goal you ever saw and by whom : Tony Coly against Glentoran at the Oval.
What appeals to you most about Linfield : I have blue blood and I just love the whole atmosphere when we play. We have a proud history and tradition which has been shared by generations. We are a family club and our winning mentality sets us apart.
What appeals to you most about the Irish League : There have been some great matches and characters through the years. The players are generally honest and get on with playing the game. There are no highly paid prima donnas in the Irish League and players generally have a great rapport with supporters. And of course beating Glentoran.
