Linfield official media and Linfield tv have been building up to today’s As Live re run broadcast of the Solitude game on this equivalent Saturday three years ago when an Andy Waterworth hat trick propelled Linfield to Irish Premier League glory on a never to be forgotten afternoon in North Belfast.
The response from our supporters to our series of Waterworth features has been tremendous.
It’s been really nice to be able to share and recall great memories of happy times to help get us all through these current tough (but temporary) times.
Schools are currently closed with work being sent home during this lockdown period so we were delighted to receive the piece of work from 11 year old school boy Cameron from County Down.
Tasked with writing a sports report on a topic that meant something really special or personal and brought back happy memories, young Cameron, entering into the true spirit of Waterworth Week, wrote the following that filled us all with pride.
Of course we are totally biased but we hope young Cameron receives an A * for the piece of work below which sets us up nicely for this afternoons As Live broadcast in the first of two huge games in Waterworth Week.
